01. Review job advertisements for the position you are seeking.

Note the top skills listed in these advertisements as must have.
Write down some keywords used there.
Note down a couple of distinctive phrase in the advertisement which you can use in your cover email or resume?

02. Identify the list of industries and the companies that you will target

Shortlist companies you want to apply for.

Note: Try to find example resumes of positions which are a few levels higher than what you do today. From the resumes of these senior more experiences people in your field, you will get more ideas, phrases and words which you can reuse.
