Steampunk Fantasy by K.C. Newton: A Very Enjoyable Adventure Series

If you would like an alternative fantasy world to escape into during these topsy-turvy times then K.C. Newton’s Steampunk YouTube channel is the perfect getaway destination.

I hear you asking, “But wait, what is Steampunk?”

Steampunk is a genre of science fantasy that blends technology and designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. As wikipedia explains, Steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the 19th century British Victorian era or the American “Wild West”, in a future during which steam power has maintained mainstream usage, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power.

K.C Newton excels in storytelling and his steampunk audiobook series on YouTube is a very enjoyable experience.

More than just an audiobook, “Crimson Corruption”, follows the aeronaut, Sasha, as an unnatural band of pirates hunt her down across “The Heartlands.” This is written to be a ‘Hero’s Tale,’ to encourage and inspire listeners during the current turbulent times we all face.

While the story is read to you, get caught up by sounds of dirigible fleets in dogfights or the clash of swords ringing out between pirates. This is meant to be a full-audio experience told in roughly 5 minute chunks. They are uploaded every 3 days and I’m currently having ‘quick sketch’ artwork being added to future episodes for those listening/watching the audio series on Instagram TV.

This is a creative and unique creation that kept me riveted throughout from start to finish.
