Creative Resume Layout
Brand Your Resume
Use a two column layout. A narrow left column with logos of certifications, past companies etc. You can also include here some quotes or short recommendations which highlight those skills which are most relevant for the job you are applying.
Tasteful Infographics
Graphics break monotony, spark conversation and grab attention. Include Infographics into the accomplishment section.
For example – Think of a chart which reflects the revenue growth you impacted over the years. Depict it into a chart.
Conversation Starter
You can also highlight your values or life’s “motto” on top of your resume as simple quote from someone or a single word definition.
Here are some examples:
- cre·a·tiv·i·ty – the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought into reality.
- “I see no limits to what a man of ability can accomplish.” – Alexander the Great (356-323 BC)
Multimedia Resume
VisualCV Instead of a traditional resume, here, you can create a ‘portfolio’ – add multimedia (video, audio, images, charts, work samples, presentations) to your CV. You can email this ‘power resume’ to your recruiter or save it as a pdf or forward the URL.
